Nasdaq CEO sees strong interest of Chinese companies in listings in the US

HONG KONG (Reuters) - The Nasdaq sees strong interest of Chinese companies to to list in the United States, said its chief executive Robert Greifeld, on Thursday, despite a recent rush in deslistagens of Chinese companies seeking highest ratings in home.

Three Chinese companies already listed on Nasdaq, focused on technology, to date in 2016 and "anything close to double digits would be considered a very good year" for Chinese listings, Greifeld told Reuters in Rise Technology Conference backstage in Hong Kong.

"The set of future projects of Chinese companies that want to come to the US is at maximum half a decade," Greifeld said. "I've just come from Beijing and the level of interest is very strong. We are very happy with it."
