Libra comes to minimum 31 years

London - The ten-year bonds of the British government dropped below 1% on Monday for the first time in history and the pound reached the minimum in 31 years against the dollar, as investors bet that the British vote to leave the European Union ( EU) will cause a cut in interest rates by the British central bank.

The Finance Minister George Osborne said on Monday that the economy will face "an adjustment" as dealing with the referendum decision of the consequences.

The pound fell more than 3% against the dollar, reaching the minimum at 31 years of $ 1.3221. The fall against the dollar on Friday was the largest in modern history, reaching at one point to 10%.
