Vodafone threatens to leave the UK because of the "Brexit"

                  Vodafone, na Inglaterra

London - The mobile phone company Vodafone said on Wednesday it may leave its headquarters in London depending on the outcome of negotiations on the output of the United Kingdom of the European Union (EU).

In a statement, the company considers it important to maintain access "free movement of people, capital and goods" because it has helped boost growth.

Vodafone, which employs 13,000 people in the UK, said it is premature to draw a "firm" conclusion on the final location of its headquarters, but that will depend on the negotiations.

Last fiscal year, 55% of the company's profit came from its operations in Europe against 11% in the UK, said the company, which began to publish its results in euros instead of pounds.

As indicated, the Community legal framework is part of "full operations of any pan-European business."

Vodafone is one of the most important companies listed on the FTSE-100, the main index of the London Stock Exchange, and operates in 26 countries and employs 108,000 people outside the UK.

The company made this warning about the future after the UK decided to leave the EU in a referendum held last week.
