São Paulo - The dollar closed slightly higher against the real on Thursday, responding to concerns about the referendum on the permanence of Britain in the European Union, but the advance was limited by one-off sales of currency that had their marked effect by low turnover.
The dollar advanced 0.10 percent to 3.4700 reais in sales, after reaching 3.5118 reais to the maximum of the day and 3.4638 reais to the minimum. The future dollar retreated about 0.2 per cent in the late afternoon.
