The shares of European tourism and leisure companies fell on Friday, weighing on stock markets in the region, after the attack in the French city of Nice that killed more than 80 people.
The index of top European shares FTSEurofirst 300 fell 0.15 percent, to 1,335 points. The pan-European index STOXX 600 fell 0.17 percent to 337 points.
A man driving a truck ran into a crowd celebrating the Bastille Day in Nice on Thursday, killing at least 84 people and wounding dozens more in French President Francois Hollande called terrorist act.
Index Travel and Leisure STOXX Europe 600 fell 1.2 percent.
The operator of the French Accor, Europe's largest hotel group, fell 3 percent. Airlines also retreated, with Air France-KLM in fall of 1.60 percent, losing 2.64 percent easyJet and Thomas Cook with a fall of 4.20 percent.
In London, the Financial Times index rose 0.22 percent to 6,669 points.
FRANKFURT, the DAX index fell 0.01 percent to 10,066 points.
In PARIS, the CAC-40 index lost 0.30 percent to 4,372 points.
In MILAN, the FTSE / Mib index had depreciated 0.29 percent to 16,748 points.
In MADRID, the IBEX-35 index recorded a low of 0.25 percent, to 8,531 points.
In Lisbon, the PSI 20 index depreciated 0.51 percent to 4,561 points.
