Berlin - Confidence in the euro zone fell to a minimum of 18 months in July, showed research Sentix group said on Monday, as investors and analysts fear the economic consequence of the British decision to leave the European Union last month.

The index Sentix research group fell to 1.7 from 9.9 in June. Analysts polled by Reuters had expected a reading of 5.0.

Reflecting concerns about the output of the UK EU, the sub-index measuring expectations fell to -2.0 from 10 in June, reaching its lowest level since November 2014. The subindex measuring the current state of the euro zone fell to 5,5, 9,8.
