Sales of new homes in the US fell in August, after reaching in July the highest level in nine years, but remained solid, said the Commerce Department.
The transactions in August fell 7.6%. On annual basis, sales were 609,000 against 659,000 in July, which was the month of higher sales in nine years.
Compared to August 2015, sales increased 20.6%.
